Z2 Rise – Privacy policy
Last updated 3 November 2026. Developer: Jakub Brezovsky.
The app sends nothing anywhere
Z2 Rise has no Communications (network) permission. It cannot send data anywhere: no servers, no accounts, no analytics. Nothing leaves your watch except the activity that Garmin Connect syncs itself.
What stays on the watch
Your zone 2 minutes per day and week, your weekly goal, your zone and where it comes from, the results of your zone 2 and threshold tests, the run history and your settings are stored only on your watch. Deleting the app removes them.
What the app reads on the watch
Heart rate, cadence and position (GPS) during an activity, your age and heart-rate zones from your Garmin user profile to compute the zone, and your Body Battery history (sensor history permission) for the suggestion on the start screen. These readings are used on the watch only.
What goes to your Garmin account
When you save a run, walk or ride, it is saved as an activity (time, distance, heart rate and the app's extra fields: zone 2 time, zone limits and heart-rate drift) like any other activity, and Garmin Connect syncs it to your own Garmin account under Garmin's privacy policy.
What we never collect
- No accounts, name, e-mail or location.
- No tracking, analytics or advertising.
